The Best Homes Aren’t Always Found—They’re Made
Life has a way of gifting blessings that also bring big change. For us, that surprise came when we found out we were prengant with Baby Boone. Suddenly, the home that once felt “just right” for our family started feeling a little too small for the love, laughter and a growing baby.
The good news? We already knew we were in our dream neighborhood. The community, the schools, the Sunday rhythms, the sense of belonging—it all fit. What didn’t fit anymore was the space. And that’s when the real search began.
But here’s what we quickly learned: sometimes the “perfect” house isn’t out there waiting. Sometimes, when you can’t find the perfect one, you make it.
That’s the beauty of looking at homes with vision. A property with good bones and the right potential can be transformed into a home that not only meets your needs but elevates your everyday life. Maybe it’s knocking down a wall, reimagining the kitchen, or building out the backyard where your kids will grow up making memories.
And the best part? You don’t have to do it alone. We’ve leaned on friends and trusted professionals who know how to bring a dream to life. With the right people beside you—contractors, designers, even neighbors who cheer you on—you realize the process of creating your perfect home is just as meaningful as moving in.
So here we are: still in the neighborhood we love, but now creating a home that’s bigger, better and built for the chapter God is writing for our family. It’s a reminder that the best homes aren’t always found—they’re made. And when you’ve got the right people around you, the possibilities are endless. So, yes, we're moving, again!... But, we couldn't be more excited to fill this bigger home with memories to last a lifetime.
