Bright Side Cafe, tucked inside The Mercantile in Old Town Scottsdale, is far more than a charming spot for matcha or handcrafted lattes. At first glance, the menu items might seem a little pricy, in comparison to the nearly 20 other coffee options in Old Town. But, there’s a reason customers flock to Bright Side. Their drinks are unique, inspiring, lovely and delicious. We opted for the iced honey cinnamon latte with “Faith over fear” atop the cold foam and couldn’t decide if it was prettier or tastier—such a dilemma!

Although neither their signage nor online presence explicitly states a particular religious affiliation, Bright Side is part of a larger trend—outwardly bold in your beliefs and unapologetically committed to spreading encouragement.  

The space is inviting, cozy and inspirational, and it’s surrounded by artisan shops that sell the cutest merchandise. All that to say, because flavor and ascetic collide, the café-marketplace duo is a huge success.
